Tour itinerary

Day 1Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen (The Blue City)

Your adventure begins in Tangier, the gateway between Europe and Africa. We’ll visit iconic landmarks like the Cave of Hercules and the American Legation, a symbol of Morocco’s historic ties with the USA.

En route, we stop at Tetouan, also known as the “White Dove” city, to admire its Andalusian architecture and take a scenic break at the Akchour Waterfalls. Then we continue through the Rif Mountains to the magical town of Chefchaouen, famed for its photogenic blue-washed medina. Enjoy the evening strolling its narrow lanes, visiting the kasbah, and relaxing in a charming riad.

Day 2Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, we travel south towards the historical Roman site of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rich in mosaics and columns that date back to the 3rd century BC.

We then head to Meknes, one of Morocco’s Imperial Cities, to explore the majestic Bab El-Mansour, El Hedim Square, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the sultan who made this city his capital.

Finally, we drive to the spiritual city of Fes, where you’ll check into a riad in the heart of the ancient medina.

Day 3:Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Today, we leave Fes and head to the alpine-style town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” A short drive takes us to the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you may spot wild Barbary macaques among the tall trees.

After lunch in Midelt, the road winds through the scenic Ziz Valley and into the heart of the desert. You’ll pass through Erfoud, known for its fossil and date markets, before reaching Merzouga.

Here, your desert adventure begins. A camel caravan awaits to take you across the dunes of Erg Chebbi to your luxury desert camp. Enjoy a traditional Berber dinner under the stars, followed by live music around the fire.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

Rise early to witness a spectacular Sahara sunrise, then return to the village by camel. After breakfast and a refreshing shower, we head to Rissani, the hometown of Morocco’s ruling dynasty, to visit its traditional souk and historical sites.

Continuing our journey, we explore the stunning Todra Gorges, a paradise for rock climbers. Then we pass through the fragrant Valley of Roses, where locals produce rosewater and cosmetics, and visit women’s cooperatives.

We end the day in Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa,” for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Tizi n’Tichka – Marrakech

After breakfast, visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah and the famous Atlas Film Studios, where films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones were shot.

Next, we explore the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most iconic kasbah in Morocco.

Crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, we stop at an Argan oil cooperative before arriving in Marrakech. We’ll drop you off at your accommodation, marking the end of an unforgettable 5-day journey from Tangier.
