Tour itinerary

Day 1Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

We start our desert journey early in the morning with a pickup from your riad in Marrakech. We drive through the scenic High Atlas Mountains via the impressive Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters above sea level.

Our first stop is the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site and popular filming location for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring the kasbah and enjoying lunch, we continue to Ouarzazate, also known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” There, we visit the Atlas Film Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah.

From Ouarzazate, we continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through breathtaking landscapes until we reach the Dades Gorges. You’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 2Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we continue our journey through the picturesque Dades Valley, with its impressive rock formations and lush palm groves. We visit the famous Todra Gorges, a paradise for climbers with cliffs rising over 300 meters. You’ll have time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the river views.

Next, we travel through Tinjdad and Touroug, stopping for lunch and a visit to a local Berber village. We then pass through Erfoud, known for its fossils and date production, before reaching the Merzouga Desert.

Here, your unforgettable camel trekking adventure begins. A local guide will lead you across the Erg Chebbi dunes as the sun sets. In the heart of the Sahara, you’ll enjoy a night at a traditional desert camp with dinner, Berber music, and stargazing under the desert sky.

Day 3:Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Ifrane – Fes

Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast (at the camp or hotel, your choice), we head toward Fes, making several scenic stops along the way.

Our first stop is Rissani, the birthplace of Morocco’s ruling Alaouite dynasty, where you can explore a traditional local market. Then we continue through Errachidia and the beautiful Ziz Valley, a palm-filled oasis perfect for photos.

We stop in Midelt for lunch and then continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in the Cedar Forest near Azrou to see the wild Barbary monkeys. Before arriving in Fes, we make a final stop in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture and clean streets.

The tour ends with drop-off at your riad or at the airport in Fes.
