Your 3-day Morocco tour begins with pickup from your hotel or riad in the historic city of Fes. Our first stop is the charming alpine-style town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” known for its clean streets, ski resorts, and famous stone lion statue.
Next, we drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains to explore the peaceful Cedar Forest near Azrou, where you’ll meet the friendly Barbary macaques that inhabit the region. After a local lunch in Midelt, we continue through the scenic Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and fortified villages.
As we reach the Sahara Desert, we stop in Erfoud, a town known for fossils and date production. Arriving in Merzouga, your camels await for an incredible trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a magical desert sunset, followed by dinner and Berber music around a fire at your desert camp. Spend the night under the starry Milky Way sky.
Wake early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast before your camel trek back to Merzouga. On the way to the next destination, we stop in Rissani, an ancient town once a major caravan center.
Passing through palm groves and Berber villages, we head to Tinghir, a town at the base of the stunning Todra Gorges, where the canyon walls soar up to 300 meters. You’ll have time to hike along the river and admire the striking cliffs.
Afterward, we continue to the Dades Valley, stopping at the incredible Rock Formations, also known as Monkey Fingers, and the famous Tissdrine winding road for amazing photo opportunities. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional guesthouse in the valley.
After breakfast, we journey through the fragrant Valley of the Roses, known for its blooming roses and annual Rose Festival. You’ll pass through the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, visiting Skoura, a village filled with palm trees and traditional kasbahs.
Our next stop is Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” where you’ll visit the famous Atlas Film Studios. Nearby, we explore the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for Game of Thrones and other blockbusters.
Finally, we drive through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains. Capture the dramatic mountain landscapes before arriving in the bustling red city of Marrakech, where your tour ends with a drop-off at your riad or the airport.
