Tour itinerary

Day 1 Fes - Ifrane -Cedar Forest - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga

Your adventure begins with an early pickup from your hotel or the Fes airport. Heading south, we’ll first stop in Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco for its alpine-style houses and cool climate. Next, wander through the Azrou Cedar Forest, home to the playful Barbary macaques.

After a lunch break in Midelt, the scenery shifts as we travel through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass, following the lush Ziz River towards the desert. By afternoon, we’ll arrive in Merzouga, where your camel caravan awaits. Ride across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, pausing to watch the sunset from a high ridge. The night is spent in a luxury Sahara camp, enjoying Berber music by the campfire under a blanket of stars.

Day 2Merzouga Desert Exploration – Nomads, Khamlia & Flamingos Lake

Rise early to watch the desert sunrise—an unforgettable spectacle. After breakfast, ride back to Merzouga by camel or 4×4. Today is dedicated to exploring the fascinating surroundings of the Erg Chebbi dunes.

We’ll visit an ancient kohl (eyeliner) mine, meet nomadic families in their handwoven tents over a cup of mint tea, and stop in Khamlia, a village known for its Gnawa music and West African heritage. Later, walk through a palm grove and visit the seasonal Lake Dayet Srij, often home to flamingos. Dinner and overnight stay in a comfortable desert hotel

Day 3:Merzouga - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorge - Dades Valle

After breakfast, we depart the desert via Rissani, once the capital of the Tafilalet region and still a bustling trading hub. Its vibrant souk (market) is especially lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

We then continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossilized marble workshops, before heading to the impressive Todra Gorge, where towering cliffs rise 300 meters high. After time to explore and have lunch, we follow a scenic road to the Dades Valley, stopping at rock formations known as the “Monkey Fingers” and panoramic viewpoints. Overnight in a hotel overlooking the valley.

Day 4: Dades Valley - Rose Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate

This morning we pass through the Rose Valley in Kalaat M’Gouna, renowned for its fragrant rose products and annual May festival. Continuing on, we’ll visit the palm-filled oasis of Skoura and its iconic Amridil Kasbah.

By afternoon, we reach Ouarzazate, Morocco’s “Hollywood of Africa.” Here we’ll explore the Atlas Film Studios, where many famous films were shot, and the historic Taourirt Kasbah (Pictures from the outside ). Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Telouet- High Atlas - Marrakech

Our final day begins with a visit to the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones.

We then drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, stopping for scenic photos and lunch along the way. By evening, we arrive in Marrakech, where your driver will drop you at your accommodation or the airport—marking the end of your 5-day desert adventure
